Calling All Chapter Members!
(Okay, maybe not all – but at least 2)
The board is looking for two chapter members to volunteer to work on the Nomination Committee. The Nomination Committee is responsible for coordinating the annual Chapter Board Elections.
This is the Chapter’s first election so we are afforded the opportunity to frame how future nominating committees may work – based upon the PMISWMO Chapter Bylaws.
This year, two positions will be filled in the election:
- VP – Programs and Professional Development
- VP – Marketing and Communications
As a Nomination Committee Volunteer, you will be required to attend meetings between now and when the election is completed in November. Schedules and select duties will be ironed out at the first meeting.
Since this is our first election and since we are still small I anticipate about 3 hours of effort on everyone’s part.
This is a great opportunity to earn one (1) Continuing Certification Requirements PDU, under category 5B.
If you are interested, please email me at admin@pmiswmo.org.
Thanks!
Pamela Abdon, PMP
VP – Administration and Finance

Hello, all! I hope everyone has recuperated from the holiday season! Just wanted to give you an update on the chapter formation process… we are so close! Just TWO more members until we reach the goal of 25!
The status of the action steps for Gate 5 are shown here. You will notice that a logo was submitted to PMI on January 13. I have sent the logo that you chose to PMI for approval. The winning logo is show below. Please help us get the word out about the chapter and the meeting that is scheduled for this month. Visiting local project sites is a great way to broaden our exposure to the various methodologies used by project managers in the area, and we hope that you will come away from the tour of Republic High School with a new appreciation for the complexities of construction and state-funded projects.
As always, if you or someone you know has a question about PMI®, the local chapter or the project management profession in general, please send them our way. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have.
As always, have a great day!
Juanita Woods, MBA, PMP, MCITP
Chapter Formation Liaison, Incoming President
This image is close to what our final logo will look like. Modifications may have to be made based on constraints by PMI.
The winning logo was created by Leilani V, one of our chapter members. Thank you, Leilani!
