June 2010 Meeting

Our next meeting is scheduled for June 15, 2010, at the Library Center in Springfield, Mo.  The meeting will start at 6:30 PM, but the doors open at 6:00 to give everyone a chance to “meet and greet” fellow attendees.

This month’s speaker will be N.K. Shrivastava, PMP.  NK will be leading a session on Risk Management for Projects and discussing the concepts as well as practical aspects of managing project risks. He will also share the technique that he uses to quantify risks and their impact on project schedule and cost. He found this technique to be very useful in communicating risks and their impact to project sponsors and to the “C” level executives. For more information about N.K.’s presentation click here

Remember, this will be a PDU event.  Attendees will earn 1 PDU. Individuals involved in project management in all industries are welcome and encouraged to attend. You DO NOT have to be PMI certified or a PMI member to attend. Project Managers of all industries are welcome and encouraged to attend.

N. K. Shrivastava PMP, works as Vice President of consulting services at IIS Inc, a North Carolina based IT Company. NK has been successfully managing and delivering medium to large software projects for more than 20 years. NK has expertise in recovering troubled projects through careful planning and risk management. NK also provides management consulting, coaching, and mentoring to his customers on project management and related areas.
