April 2010 Meeting

Our next meeting is scheduled for April 20, 2010, onsite at ANPAC in Springfield, Mo.  The meeting will start at 6:30 PM, but the doors open at 6:00 to give everyone a chance to “meet and greet” fellow attendees.

This month’s speaker will be Paul Hauschen, PMP, CPCU.  Paul is the Director of ANPAC’s Multiple Line Project Management Office.  Paul will be presenting a case study on how to how the chapter might set up a PMP certification workshop. 

This will be a PDU event. Individuals involved in project management in all industries are welcome and encouraged to attend. You DO NOT have to be PMI certified or a PMI member to attend. Project Managers of all industries are welcome and encouraged to attend.

For our members who would like to attend remotely, ANPAC has generously agreed to provide remote access (conference call and Live Meeting).  If anyone is interested in attending via remote access, please RSVP by 4/16/10 so we can provide login and call information.

For everyone who will be attending in person, below are directions to ANPAC:

ANPAC is located at 1949 E Sunshine in Corporate Centre, just east of the corner of Glenstone & Sunshine in Springfield, Missouri.  Corporate Centre sits back off Sunshine Street just a little bit with a big yard in front.  When you turn in the drive, circle around to the right and park in back of those first buildings.  Come into the central kiosk area and turn toward the left.  There will be signs and people to guide you.  (See attached map)

Here is a little more information about our April Speaker:

Paul has over 25 years experience in information systems and business divisions spanning several industries.  He has worked in manufacturing with the Rayovac Corporation, catalog distribution with the Pleasant Company, financial services with the CUNA Mutual Group, and government in the New York State Comptroller’s Project Management Office.  He has served as professional development director in the Madison, Wisconsin, and Albany, New York, chapters of PMI, founding PMP Prep Workshops in both chapters.  Paul earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 1997, his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 2007, and holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin.
